Q. Cassius Longinus, 55 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 4.14 g, 6 h), Rome. Head of the Genius Populi Romani to right; behind, scepter. Rev. Q•CASSIVS Eagle standing to right on thunderbolt, wings spread and flanked by lituus on the left and and jug on the right. Babelon (Cassia) 7. Crawford 428/3. RBW 1535. Sydenham 916. Lightly toned and of fine style, an attractive piece. Small banker's mark on the obverse and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good extremely fine.
